Diphylleia Grayi – Skeleton Flower ( Umbrella Leaf)

I happened to come across to know about this beautiful flower called Diphylleia Grayi also know as Skeleton Flower.

while at first glance it may appear an ordinary bloom, there is actually something quite extraordinary about it.

This interesting perennial is found in areas including East Asia and Japan and can grow to a height of 0.4 meters and up to one meter wide.

Blooming from mid-spring to early-summer, these little pretties prefer shady conditions and should only receive partial sunlight.

While these characteristics and preferences may seem on the level, it’s when it rains that this pretty flower displays its uniqueness.

Due to the delicate nature of the petals, rainfall turns it completely clear! Its petals become transparent and glisten like glass with the effects of a little H2O!

That’s a nice find to share with us Rashmi… So many wonders of nature and only few take some pain and efforts to let others know about it.
    Thanks for sharing
